This Privacy Policy applies to the BookFun (悅讀/悦读) application (hereinafter referred to as “the Application”).

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide a secure, distraction-free reading and listening experience, we detail our data practices below:

A. User Content and Data (Local Storage & iCloud Private Sync)

All data you create, import, or manage within the Application, including:

• Imported book files (TXT/EPUB)
• Reading progress and history
• Bookmarks and personal notes
• Profile details (nickname, title, avatar)

is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. When you log in with the same Apple ID across multiple devices and enable iCloud, your data is securely synced via Apple’s official iCloud Private Database (CloudKit). The developer and any third parties cannot access, collect, or store your core application data.

B. Third-Party Services and Analytics

• No Ads: BookFun is 100% ad-free. No third-party ad SDKs or tracking identifiers.
• Zero Telemetry: No analytics or behavioral tracking frameworks are included.
• Local Text-to-Speech (TTS): TTS relies entirely on Apple’s native system speech engine. All audio synthesis happens locally on your device.

C. Store Services

The Application only interacts with Apple App Store servers when necessary for purchase verification and basic system integrations.

2. Data Security & Control

• Security: Local and iCloud data are protected by iOS sandbox and encryption mechanisms.
• Data Deletion: You own your data. Deleting the application removes all local data. iCloud data can be managed via iOS Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud -> Manage Storage.
